Thyme herbal tea is perfect for this time of year when we find ourselves over indulging in sweet treats, baked goods, cocktails, and heavy meats. Sipping on this tea after a big meal can help the body to properly digest food, decrease GI inflammation, and normalize gut/ bowel function. The antimicrobial properties can help reduce bacteria in the stomach; which could be lingering from that potato salad that was sitting out a little too long... 👀. A nice cup of Thyme and Ginger Tea would be a great choice for stomach discomforts.

Feeling a little flu-ish after being around family? Thyme is great for supporting our ability to fight off germs. By supplying the body with anti-oxidants, vitamins, and minerals, it aids the body's natural defense against free radicals and virus' that damage the immune system. Thyme is a wonderful herb for clearing chest congestion and soothing sore throats as well. Try a cup of Thyme Tea with honey and lemon for a itchy throat with cough; or steep a cup of Thyme with Cinnamon to ward off the sickness in the first place.

Does your family make you want to pull your hair out?! Yeah, thyme can help with that too. Thyme has been shown to have a relaxing effect on the nervous system. Drinking a cup of tea with honey before heading out for the day could offer you the energies needed to stay calm and combat the stress you have to deal with. If you'd rather come home and unwind- try a cup of Thyme with Lavender to release the tension from the day.
